Dr. Hunt earned his doctorate in Medieval Studies from the University of Notre Dame. 听His dissertation, 鈥淲hy Do They Apostatize? Apostasy, Law, and Religious Argumentation in the Western Mediterranean (ca. 1200-1300)鈥�, examined how shifts in religious argumentation affected the way Muslims and Christians perceived and addressed religious apostasy. 听His research interests include Muslim-Christian relations, law, and conversion in the premodern Mediterranean.

Dr. Hunt鈥檚 deep belief in the transformative power of education first drew him to higher education in prison and MCI as a graduate student. 听He later returned to MCI as a faculty fellow in writing and rhetoric. 听In 2024 he moved into the assistant director position where he continues to teach and guide students through their college careers.

Dr. Hunt teaches the Career Internship and Senior Capstone courses for MCI as well as History.
